Wave 105 launched on 14th June 1998 and broadcast across South Hampshire, Isle Of Wight, West Sussex and Wiltshire on 105.2 FM and 105.8 FM.
Wave was one the most popular old style commercial radio stations in the UK with a huge and very loyal audience. The key to it’s big success was the consistent presenter line-up including Steve Power, Mark Collins, Rick Jackson, Tim Allen and Andy Jackson (some had been with the station for over 20 years). Past presenters included Andy Sheldon, Matt Hopper, Carlos and Simon Clarke.
In September 2022, 105.8 FM in South Dorset became Greatest Hits Radio. 105.2 FM followed on 29th March 2024.
